Casa Monchique is the name of this tipical Portugese guesthouse near Monchique in the Algarve, Portugal, where we have our bed & breakfast.

Our bed & breakfast is located in a valley in the northern chain of "Serra de Monchique", several km's north of the pittoresk village Monchique, with a little natural river, peaceful and lots of nature. An oase of peace in a mountainous natural and green area with birds, crickets and frogs to break the silence. Especially in spring and autumn we have many birds in the area, due to a wide variety of trees in our valley.

All around the terrain you can walk and explore the area. We are close to the 'Via Algarviana' where you start your walking holiday. (read more about our walking holidays)

We know several other nice walking routes in the area as well as interesting places to go more further away. If you want the see some nice beaches, just ask us and we will help you find it!

We have several comfortable rooms inside our old portugese farmhouse with small terraces between cork-, olive-, and medronho trees.

With seats and private tables in front of the rooms on the side-terrace, you have a nice view over our garden and terrain.

We have a tent with a double bed down in our valley. This tent is 5 meter in diameter and is ready for your stay. We advise our guests to bring their own flashlights.  

Also we have some other tents and 1 person shelters.

In the livingroom or on the terrace in front, we serve breakfast and dinner and you can use the internet or play some games. For the readers we have books in a full bookshelf.

We have a swimmingpool for our guests in the summer on the terrace down the valley.

Every morning we serve a varied breakfast between 08.30 and 10.30 o'clock.

In the evening we can serve a dinner with some drinks (from 15,00) when applicable. Reserve in the morning and enjoy in the evening.
