Location Casa Monchique Bed & Breakfast

Our Bed and Breakfast is located several km's north of Monchique, close to the Alentejo region, in the mountain chain of "Serra de Monchique".

ROUTE:

From FARO:

Head in the direction of Portimao by taking the route national (N125) or take the highway A22. At Portimao you head north in the direction of Monchique (N266). When entering Monchique just after the gas stations, keep left in the direction of Centrum and follow the road until you are on the main square. Before entering the square, keep right in the direction of Odemira/Lisbon, and just follow the road for approx. 8 km's, until you see the sign "Perna da Negra" pointing to the left (!)

Opposite of this sign, you will see a place to stop and you can give us a call from there, so we know you're coming (from this point you will limited cell phone signal, until you reach our area).

If you drive down this road to Perna da Negra, be careful for traffic that is coming up the hill.

Follow the road down the hill and after 2 km. you will come to a crossing.

Then follow the road on your right. After approx. 700 m. the road will become a bit wider and you might see some cars parked on the left side. Stop here and park your car.

Follow the path down the hill on the left side of the road with the sign 'Helma & Dick'.
